The top (i'd say more like NUMBER 1) quality of a compassionate & conscious leader ( AKA a yoga teacher) is emotional intelligence otherwise known as SELF-AWARENESS.
Having a mindfulness practice helps us work with our emotions, and most importantly identify and put words to our feelings. The ability we have to self-regulate ( train our minds) is the most important to connect to neutral energy. YOU DON'T THINK LIFE YOU FEEL LIFE ( if you've been to my yoga classes you've heard me say this once or twice!! 😉).
If you are a yoga teacher, a mindfulness practice is BASELINE of experiential learning. I've spoken to some of you that you can start this at 5 minutes each day. BAM. Right there, you have a mindfulness practice ( on our course-site i've shared Sat Nam sadhana and SO HUM sadhana)"
At its base, Yoga is an experiential science therefore the focus in yoga mentorship is this too! Those this make sense? Yoga teachers that feels un-authentic do not, I repeat, do not have a mindfulness practice.
