GRATITUDE

GRATITUDE

Welcoming gratefulness in my world has been a life-long practice. I believe this practice is one of union, connection & graceful admiration of what is laid out before us. How do you choose to see your life? When you learn to be thankful, the shift of perspective is immediate. Thomas alive was a gift that I didn’t take for granted. I had taken for granted Isaiah’s perfect pregnancy, precocious development, like ‘yeah, look at him walk, and talk and say ‘dada’ and eat’- whatever. Tommy’s growing up was a completely different story.  We had been told repeatedly to imagine the worst, to think in percentage, to hope for the best. Despite all of the medical struggles. Tommy had been burgeoning in his own little man. We always kept the faith that Tommy could live a meaningful life despite is dramatic entrance in the world. I am indebted to my yoga practice when it came to dealing with his passing. It’s easy to forget that yoga is a yielding into messy territory, into honesty, humble pastures. Not just the gratefulness but the careFULLness that is your life. What are you grateful for today? I’d love to know! #captureyourgrief
